DIGITAL CHARTS AND X-RAYS
At Golden Smiles, we utilize fully digital dental charts and digital dental X-rays. Digital dental charts allow us to instantly review patient medications, health issues, and notes from previous appointments, making your appointment that much more efficient and thorough.
Digital dental X-rays are a necessary component of most dental visits and they help us properly diagnose any issues with the teeth, gums, and jaws. To minimize the amount of exposure that a patient receives, we use state-of-the-art digital sensors to keep you safe while giving us the information we need. These digital sensors have even been shown to lower the exposure for patients by up to 90%.*
*We take our patients’ overall health very seriously and perform inspections and testing of all of our X-ray equipment in compliance with Colorado state law.
iTero ELEMENT 5D SCANNER
We’re proud to be using the iTero Element 5D Scanner at our Sloans Lake dental office. This dental scanner can create full-color, digital models of your mouth in a matter of minutes, and it can be used to perform digital scans for crowns, bridges, implants, night guards, and Invisalign.
Ever wonder what your smile would look like if you underwent orthodontic treatment? The iTero 5D Scanner can perform a simulation of what your teeth would look like after Invisalign treatment just like that.
If you weren’t already impressed, another amazing feature is the scanner’s ability to help us detect cavities between your teeth without taking any X-rays. This is the first 3D intraoral scanner with Near-Infrared Imaging (NIRI) technology to aid in the detection of cavities above the gumline in real-time helping us to make the right treatment recommendations.
